This pitcher with a tall arched handle is decorated with four rows of animals. The background color and the brown slip (clay thinned with water) used to paint the design are both natural colors of clay.

The animals are presented in rows, like animals on parade. Look for lions, bulls, boars, a panther, and running dogs.
